This special Ridgewood Newcomers class with NJ Ready 2 Play is designed to engage children of all ages in joyful learning, play, and family bonding. We’ll kick things off with an interactive read-aloud, carefully selected to support the emerging literacy skills of children at various stages. After the story, your child will have the chance to make choices and explore a variety of play stations related to the day's theme. Activities can include painting, sensory bins, dramatic play, book-making, water play, and more. The playtime is designed to encourage open play, collaboration, and self lead interests.

NJ READY 2 Play is a local literacy based playgroup in Montclair and Ridgewood, NJ. Allyse, a Ridgewood Newcomers Board member, is an educator and literacy consultant with extensive early childhood experience.
